After noticing that VIP Barbers would open soon in the recently vacated Illusions space, I started thinking about the number of hair care establishments in downtown Carbondale. By my count, we have about 12. Since we have just under 30 restaurants in the downtown area, we have just over one hair care salon for every 3 restaurants in downtown. That's an awful lot of places to get your hair cut or styled.
