The rest of the AAA Auto buildings just north of U Haul on N. Illinois Ave have been demolished. Given that the operation has already rented the old Southern Illinoian complex to expand its self storage operation, I would expect that U Haul will expand on the the razed property, using it as more parking for its fleet of rental vehicles
Scott, thanks for your business over the years. Uhaul purchased the property in May and the Art's Body Shop property in June in addition to purchasing the Southern Illinoisian in January. The north end will be drive-up storage buildings and the rest parking. Gary retired in 2014 and I retired this past June after 36 years in business.
