First SIUC gets rid of its Athletic Director with no warning and now the univeristy has put the women's soccer coach on administrative leave, once again without giving any reason. Certainly does not look good for the althleting department to have two high profile releases within such a short period of time.
This certainly does not look good in terms of gender diversity with the interim replacements being guys. With the weekly shootings, dubious enrollment, and typical instability SIUC appears more and more a losing institution.
ReplyDeleteAccording to today's DE, Jarnigan's termination has to do with the lack of follow up on sexual harassment charges raised against SIUC women's swim coach Geoff HAnson.
