Listening to the city council meeting and it appears the city plans to hire a consulting firm to help with allocating out the COVID-19 grant money the city will be receiving.
Discussing the proposed TIF districts now. Looks as if the revised TIF Districts will inclue all of the properties between Main, Walnut, Oakland and University as well as most of the Northwest and northeast sections of Carbondale. The southeastern section of Carbondale is left out of the proposed TIF districts because the overwhelming majority of properties in that area are rental properties, while owner occupied homes are more common in the areas included in the proposed TIF districts.
Looks as if the city will put in a 4 way stop at the intersection of Violet and West Sunset and issue more bonds.
