The new roundabout on West Chautauqua and McLafferty is now open for traffic. The city posted a video (with music unfortunately) showing automobiles using it and you can see it here.
Generally, from what I have read, roundabouts are pretty good at keeping traffic moving. Drivers navigate the one in downtown Troy Ohio without any significant trouble I putting one at the intersection of Mill and University would help traffic flow there, though it would disrupt traffic significantly during the installation.
