If the proposed design standards for downtown building get approved by city council, the Evolve building, as currently designed, would not have been built as the standards require any floors above the second to be set back further than the first 2 floors.. The exterior siding would likely not have passed muster either.
Additionally, any new building going into the primary downtown area would have to be two stories tall. Already established buildings would, of course, be grandfathered in.
