Phone Scam

Carbondale Police are reporting a series of phone calls targeting older residents, telling them they have won money or a car and asking them to wire money to cover taxes or other fees.  In a number of cases, the caller knew the resident's date of birth and address.  The police recommend looking at this website for education on common scams.
