Talking with an SIUC faculty member today and, according to her, the administration is way undercounting the number of students that have contracted COVID-19. A dozen on campus cases seems pretty small. Does anyone have any idea if that is the correct number of on campus students with the virus?
On the D.E.'s website click on covid-19, see article dated 9-22 titled 144 students in quarantine or isolation on campus since Aug. 9. Looks like smoke and mirrors to me. Sept 9th article in the D.E. titled A tale of three quarantines is appalling. I have a family member who works in the Trueblood dining hall, management does not tell their workers when someone working there tests positive! Neely Hall is not even close to being full but a student is sharing a bathroom with someone in quarantine! And even worse no one even notified him, he had to find out on his own.
