City Website Transperancy

The new Carbondale city website gets a positive review from one transparency advocate. It appears there is a set of standards for transparency on government websites and the new Carbondale site meets all of them.

  1. Could find no mention of who or what company created the website, though.

  2. Also no mention of City's wireless program.

  3. I looked for the web designer as well but couldn't find it. I'd hazard a guess it was the Arthur Agency as I've seen payments in the city's warrants to them for various services.

  4. The Daily Egyptian says that Arthur Agency did it.

Am I the only one who finds uninvited slide shows annoying? First the university page and now the city... :(

  5. Nothing better than being Uncle Glen's son! Money from on high just keeps landing on my head! :)

No conflict of interest here. SIU gave them no bid contracts and can now say they have had good experiences with them, so more no bid contracts. Reminds me of the Bush administration.
