the line of cars waiting for testing for COVID-19 at the SIH unit on West Main street stretched around the block yesterday. heard on the news this morning that SIH currently is caring for about 50 cases of COVID-19 in Carbondale and Marion. Although cases have increased drastically over the past couple of months, fatality rates remain comparatively low, likely reflecting the increased number of students, their propensity for gathering in groups and the relative resilience they have towards the disease.
