Faner Hall

 Interesting read about Faner Hall. The building was not designed riotproof, as it was designed long before anyone anticipated civil disturbances on campus and you CAN walk from one end to the other without going outside, as long as you do not mind cutting through some department offices.

SIUC Graffiti

Here's a link to photos of the graffiti found on SIUC's Faner Hall over the weekend. For those not familiar with Faner Hall, "Riot Proof" is a reference to a long held belief that, after the May 1970 campus and Carbondale riots, Faner Hall was designed so that, should students attempt to take over the building in another protest, the section of the building they occupied could be shut off from the rest of the structure.
