someone set one of the tents in the homeless encampment on fire on East College shortly after 7 p.m. on the 15th. Whomever did it was last seen running east on College. It got put out quickly with no injuries but still dang scary to have happen.

Yes, appalling. Perhaps the city Council should rethink ts ban on using that nowe abandoned chirch as a homeless shelter?
ReplyDeleteUnfortuantely from talking with people working with that encampment as well as the food pantry across the road, a good number of those living there do not want to move into a shelter where they would be subject to restrictions on smoking and alcohol consumption.
