Couple of candidate forums coming up locally in the near future. Sadly, no sign of Mike Bost in the near future.
The League of Women Voters of Jackson County is hosting two candidate forums, Oct 16 and 18, for judicial candidates and Jackson County Board candidates.
On Tuesday, Oct 16, at 7 pm, eight judicial candidates are expected to join a forum at the SIU Law School Auditorium. Voters in Jackson County will have to select among eight candidates for four judicial positions. Those in Union County, will select among six candidates and those in Williamson - ten candidates. That is a good reason to come to the candidates forum. More info available at https://www.isba.org/judicialevaluations and click on "By County".
Candidates for Jackson County Board will appear on Thursday, Oct 18, at 7pm, at 1410 Walnut St, the Murphysboro town hall (= Davis-McCann Center, entrance on 14th Street). Come and hear how they stand on various county issues.
