 Illinois EPA will be collecting hazardous waste on June 24 from 8 a.m. until 2:45 pm in the South lot at the Bantera Center. Pre-registration is required so here is the link 

Hazardous Waste Collection

Jackson County is collecting household hazardous wastes at the SIUC Area parking lot until noon today. Paints, lightbulbs, batteries, etc are accepted, no industrial waste and you have to have an id or utility bill showing you live in the county. Easiest way to get to the collection site is from the Pleasant Hill Road entrance to the Arena lot.

The IEPA is collecting hazardous waste today until 3 p.m. in Marion. Got there about 8:30 am and no line at all.

Just a reminder, you can dispose of household hazardous waste tomorrow at Southern Illinois Airport. No business waste accepted.
