Boo Rochman Castle Park is the only, as far as I know, Dungeons and Dragons themed public park in the US. I have had people stop by the store who stopped off in Carbondale just to visit the park. A sign up at the intersection of Highway 13 and Giant City Road would certainly help people find it and pique the interst of those popel who are visiting Carbondale and may not have heard of it.
Daily (more or less) commentary on news and events in Carbondale and the Southern Illinois region, with occasional excursions to other locales.

Boo Rochman Park Vandalized
According to this story from WSIL, Boo Rochman Park, known locally at Castle Park, was vandalized by a group of six teenagers last week. Video footage caught the group walking away after vandalizing a donation box at the park.
Had no idea there was so much vandalism going on at the Park but apparently it is bad enough that the family that built it as a memorial to their son had to cut back evening hours in an attempt to curb it.

Bucky's Dome Visit
CNET blogger Amanda Kooser writes about her visits this weekend to Bucky's Dome and the Boo Rochman Memorial Park. Apparently, she's both a fan of Buckminister Fulller and Dungeons & Dragons. When you think about it, that's not really so hard to understand. Fuller was one of the most visionary and imaginiative people of the 20th century and Dungeons & Dragons is a game that plays best with people of strong imaginations.
