Sustainabily Commission

Sat in on the Sustainability Commission's meeting last night, which didn't accomplish anything, aside from electing a new chairman. There was an interesting presentation about sustainable energy programs offered by the Egyptian Energy Cooperative Association and an update on the cleanup- at the Koppers' site in the northeast part of town (still going on) but no action taken on the proposed chicken ordinance, reusable shopping bags or styrofoam reduction.
