Cardboard Boat Regatta

Despite some doubts as to whether anyone would take it over, the 37th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta takes place this weekend at Campus Lake. Given the about of interest and attention this event draws to Carbondlae on an annual basis, it amazes me that there was any difficulty at all in finding someone to take over running the event. The Regatta is an event made to order for sponsorship by the Convention and Tourism Bureau or the Chamber of Commerce.
