Marion must be doing very well financially to have the time and money to put into
erecting a Ten Commandment monument on public land in the town square, plus fighting the lawsuits that are sure to come about from it. In general, that's just not something you can do
on public land. I know if Mayor Cole or any of the city council proposed such a thing, I'd be wanting to know where the money would come from, especially after the last sales tax increase.
Marion may still be a sh**hole, but the mere posting of them means (among other things) there won't be any more graven images or swearing, and the shops will be shut on Sunday (or is it Saturday?). Right?
